A NEW Little League rule requires ALL BATS to display a Bat Performance Rating (BPR) of no more than 1.15. This MUST be displayed on the bat for it to be allowable in play during any Little League season. GALL has NEW League Colors By a unanimous vote of board members, GALL has adopted a league color change to Black & Red. Keep a'hold of your past apparel with the TEAL colors as those will now become collectors items. GALL SENDS ONE OF OUR OWN TO THE WHITE HOUSE!
6 year-old Aidan Twitty from the Gilbert American Little League T-Ball division participated in the annual "All-Star" Tee Ball games on the White House South Lawn on July 16th. Aidan was chosen by Little League International based on a 300-word essay his parents wrote defining the benefits Tee Ball have had on their son. Little League puts the number of Tee Ball participants at about 800,000 so this is an esteemed accomplishment and privilege. The games featured a player from each of the 50 states who were split into teams. No score was kept but tons of baseball fun was had. Jamie Twitty stated, "this was great opportunity. When we submitted the essay, we thought it would be a long shot. but it only cost a stamp and a little bit of time." Congratulations Aidan...you certainly hit a homer for all of us at GALL! 2008 10-11 Teal AllStars WIN DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP!!
